As announced yesterday by Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team in an official press release, Bo Bendsneyder will stay in the Moto2 World Championship next year. Bendsneyder signed a couple of weeks ago a contract with EAB Racing Team for a 2021 WorldSSP campaign, but he recently got an unexpected Moto2 option for 2021 with Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team.

In consultation with Bo’s management, the contract for 2021 between EAB Racing Team owner Ferry Schoenmakers and Bo Bendsneyder has been terminated. This gives Bo Bendsneyder the opportunity to race Moto2 next year.

EAB Racing Team owner Ferry Schoenmakers: ‘To be honest, it’s a strange situation for all of us as the focus was already on the 2021 WorldSSP Championship with Bo. I still believe we had a very strong package with Bo, Yamaha and EAB Racing Team but I understand Bo’s request. For him, and for the Dutch motorsport in general, I decided to let him go.’
