The FIM World Supersport season came to an end during the Pirelli Spanish Round at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. From Friday, October 17th to Sunday, October 19th, the final race weekend of the year took place with Bryan D’Onofrio representing the team. Under warm and sunny conditions, solid progress was made. With 21st and 19th positions in the two races, the EAB Racing Team can look back on a respectable and rewarding season finale.
Friday began with free practice, where Bryan set the 29th fastest time. After several setup adjustments in the morning, clear steps forward were made for the Superpole session in the afternoon, which was held in similar conditions. With temperatures around thirty degrees and clear skies, the field was once again very close together. Bryan qualified in 30th place, setting the stage for the weekend’s two races.
On Saturday, the young Italian showed that he and the team were heading in the right direction. After a tricky start, Bryan found his rhythm and improved lap after lap. He completed a consistent race with strong pace, finishing 21st. Within the team, this result was considered one of his best performances of the season – a sign of progress that provided confidence heading into Sunday’s race.
Sunday marked the final race of the year. Bryan had a slightly more difficult start but recovered well and finished in 19th position. With that, EAB Racing Team concluded the season with a result that symbolizes resilience and determination – two qualities that have defined the team throughout the year.
Pjotr Groenenberg (Team Manager): “Overall, it was a positive end to a very eventful season. Throughout the weekend, Bryan made great progress, which he translated into two solid results. The first race was one of Bryan’s best this season. In the second race, he struggled a bit more to find the right rhythm, but overall he delivered a strong weekend. As a team, we’re satisfied with how the season ended, especially considering everything we’ve been through. Now we look forward to 2026, which will begin soon.”
Bryan D’Onofrio: “It was my last race of the season and also my last one in the World Championship. Jerez was a new track for me, but I managed to make progress in every session. I’m proud of how much I’ve learned this year — not only in terms of results but also in experience, confidence, and consistency. Every weekend has taught me something valuable, and this one was no exception. A huge thank you to my amazing team for their support, hard work, and trust throughout the season. It’s been a fantastic experience, and I’ve learned so much from everyone around me.”
The 2025 season brought many challenges, most notably the loss of team owner Ferry Schoenmakers and team member Piero Cossu, which deeply affected the entire team. Despite these difficult circumstances, the team remained focused, professional, and determined. With multiple rider changes and tough moments, it was far from an easy year, but together with Bryan, the team made the most of every opportunity.

EAB Racing Team sluit het seizoen 2025 positief af in Jerez
Het FIM World Supersport seizoen is ten einde gekomen tijdens de Pirelli Spanish Round op het Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. Van vrijdag 17 tot en met zondag 19 oktober werd hier het laatste raceweekend verreden samen met Bryan D’Onofrio. Onder warme, zonnige omstandigheden werd er solide progressie gemaakt. Met een 21e en 19e posities in de beide races spreekt het EAB Racing Team van een waardige seizoensafsluiting.
De vrijdag begon met een vrije training waarin Bryan de 29e tijd noteerde. Na enkele aanpassingen aan de setup in de ochtend werden er duidelijke stappen gezet richting de Superpole-sessie in de middag, die onder vergelijkbare omstandigheden werd verreden. Met een temperatuur van dertig graden en volop zon lag het veld wederom dicht bij elkaar. Bryan eindigde de kwalificatie op een 30e tijd, waarmee de basis werd gelegd voor de races op zaterdag en zondag.
Zaterdag liet de jonge Italiaan zien dat hij en het team de juiste richting hadden gevonden. Na een moeizame start wist Bryan zijn ritme te vinden en ronde na ronde te verbeteren. Hij reed een constante race met overtuigende snelheid en eindigde als 21e. Binnen het team werd dit resultaat beschouwd als een van de sterkste optredens van het seizoen – en dit gaf vertrouwen voor de tweede race op zondag.
Op zondag stond de laatste race van het jaar op het programma. Bryan kende een iets lastigere start, maar wist zich opnieuw te herpakken en de race te beëindigen op de 19e positie. Daarmee sloot het EAB Racing Team het seizoen af met een prestatie die symbool staat voor veerkracht en doorzettingsvermogen. Iets waarmee het team dit jaar continu mee te maken heeft gehad.
Pjotr Groenenberg (teammanager): “Overal was het een positief eind van een veelbewogen seizoen. Gedurende het weekend wist Bryan mooie stappen voorwaarts te maken en dit wist hij tweemaal om te zetten in mooie resultaten. De eerste wedstrijd was een van de beste van Bryan dit seizoen. Tijdens de tweede race had hij iets meer moeite om het juiste ritme te vinden maar desondanks heeft hij een solide weekend gereden. Als team zijnde zijn wij blij hoe het seizoen is afgelopen, ook als je kijkt hoe het seizoen is geweest. Op naar seizoen 2026, die al snel zal beginnnen.”
Bryan D’Onofrio: “Het was mijn laatste race van het seizoen en ook in het wereldkampioenschap. Jerez was een nieuw circuit voor mij, maar wist iedere sessie de nodige progressie te boeken .Ik ben trots op hoeveel ik dit jaar heb geleerd — niet alleen in resultaten, maar ook in ervaring, zelfvertrouwen en constante prestaties. Elk weekend heeft iets bijgebracht, zo ook dit weekend. Een enorme dank aan het geweldige team voor hun steun, harde werk en vertrouwen gedurende het hele seizoen. Het was een fantastische ervaring, en ik heb ongelooflijk veel geleerd van iedereen om me heen.”
Het seizoen 2025 kende vele moeilijke omstandigheden, waarbij vooral het verlies van teameigenaar Ferry Schoenmakers en teamlid Piero Cossu zwaar woog binnen het team. Ondanks deze ingrijpende gebeurtenissen bleef het team gefocust, professioneel en strijdlustig. Door meerdere rijderswisselingen en uitdagende omstandigheden was het geen eenvoudig jaar, maar het team wist er samen met Bryan het maximale uit te halen.
Met de races in Jerez komt er een einde aan een intens seizoen. Het EAB Racing Team richt zijn blik nu op de toekomst. Binnen zeer korte tijd volgt meer informatie over de plannen voor 2026, waarin het team opnieuw alles zal geven om competitief aan de start te verschijnen.
